Recovers past and supports the acquisition of new cooking skills in conditions of severely impaired or lacking vision.
Cooking training aims to restore previous cooking skills and help in acquiring new ones, in conditions of impaired or lacking vision. In the NRCB cooking training is done in a cabinet equipped with modern household appliances and tools. Cooking lessons provide learners with maximum autonomy in working in the kitchen, using their life experience and preserved compensatory senses. They support the acquisition of nutrition skills and culture at home and in public. During the training, trainees learn easily executable recipes for preparing basic types of dishes and drinks in everyday life. The training is strictly individual and the teacher works the most with two learners at the same time. Cooking skills training is very popular among the students of the NRCB.
