From 20th till 23rd September 2021 in Obzor a series of events will be held, celebrating the 55th anniversary of the foundation of the National Rehabilitation for the Blind Center. The events are organized within the „Colors in the darkness – 55 years of integration through art for the visually impaired people in Bulgaria“ Project, funded by the Agency of disabled people to the Ministry of labor and social policy of the Republic of Bulgaria. More than 60 VI people will take part in the activities – regional representatives of the Union of the Blind in Bulgaria, service users from the Centers for social rehabilitation and integration in the country, lecturers, prominent artists and users of the art-therapy training in the NRCB, as well as representatives of the wide public. A Familiarisation meeting “Art as a way of social inclusion”, an interactive session “Draw with no eyesight”, an art exhibition “Colors in the darkness” and художествена изложба „Цветове в здрача“ and open art workshops in ceramics, drawing and entertaining therapy will be held within these three days.
The NRCB has started the implementation of the „Colors in the twilight – 55 years of integration through art for the visually impaired people in Bulgaria” Project, funded by the Agency for disabled people in Bulgaria under the Ministry of labor and social policy of the Republic of Bulgaria since 1.6.2021. Its aim is to give voice and ceremoniously celebrate the 55-anniversary of the foundation of the NRCB and its role for the integration of the visually impaired people within society by presenting to the wide public the work of visually impaired people in the field of arts and crafts.
Telus Bulgaria will hold the first one of a series of free 1-hour online trainings – “Job seeking skills” on 28.7.2021. The training is directed mainly at young people, who are just starting their professional career, however all people, who might be interested in the topic are invited to take part in the event. The lectors will speak now about “The preparation before and the successful communication during the job interview”. The training will be held on 28th July (Wednesday) from 17:30 till 18:30 EET, online at Google meets.

V. Kertikova-Tapcheva
From June 28 to July 5, specialists from NCRC Plovdiv took part in a blended (live and online) training under the project "V.I.V.A.", funded by Erasmus +. The training took place in Arad, Romania and was attended by specialists from organizations working with visually impaired young people from Romania, Iceland, Italy, Greece and Belgium.
The main topic of the training was presenting and working with the programme for support of visually impaired young people created under the project.
Some of the specialists took part in the training in person and others joined online.
All materials created under the project were also discussed - guidelines for work, exercises, assessment tools.
