2 - 5 November 2009. The first seminar of the partners in the international project ICFproVIP under the Leonardo da Vinci Program of the EU took place in Plovdiv.
The first partners’ project seminar under the international project ICFproVIP under the Leonardo da Vinci Program took place from 2 to 5 November 2009 at the National Rehabilitation for the Blind Center – Plovdiv. The aim of the project is investigation and development of a precise instrument for supporting visually impaired people through the utilization of a standardized European instrument for an evaluation – the International classification of the functioning, disability and health (ICF). The direct aim of the meeting in Plovdiv was information about the ways of implementation of the ICF as a means of evaluation the rehabilitation of the VIP in each partner’s organization and taking a decision whether the partners should take part in the development of the ICF by the WHO as an instrument in the future. The project participants are organizations, working in the field of VIP training from Denmark, Germany, France, Rumania, Ireland, the Netherlands and the NRCB from Bulgaria. The partners presented their former experience with the ICF at the meeting. At the next partners’ meeting the Dutch organization VISIO will present its training course, which will be tested, adapted and adopted together with the partners’ countries.
